Adapting to a new culture - Avoiding conflict
Able-Unable
- Evelyn: She was able to adapt. She was trying to find a job and went out, trying to talk to Indian citizens.
- Mrs. Hardcastle: She was able to adapt by compromising with the manger Patel by telling him she'd sleep in his room as her room has no door.
- Mrs. Donnelly She couldn't adapt with the surrounding because she came to India to get her hip replaced, and she wanted to leave as soon as possible. In addition she didn't try to adapt or in another way she refused to.
- Mr + Mrs Ainslie: Mr.Ainslie adapted with the Indian people as he went out tried learning more about India and want to visit the Indian temples. Mrs.Ainslie stayed at the hotel all day so I guess this seems that she wasn't able to adapt, another thing is that when her husband told her to come with him to the Indian temple she refused and stayed in the hotel.
- Mr. Graham: He adapted with the Indian environment and tried playing cricket with the kids, after not finding the address that he was looking for. In fact he was happy.
